How to connect a Device
Lydia has the ability to connect health records to certain at-home medical and wellness devices, so the information being collected by these devices can be automatically uploaded to a person’s health record without needing to manually enter this information. Currently, Lydia supports connections to the following device manufacturers: Fitbit, Garmin, Withings (formerly Nokia), iHealth, and Omron. Apple Health is also supported within the mobile app for iOS users.
In order to connect a device to a record in Lydia, navigate to the Apps & Devices page which can be found by going to the More section in the navigation.
Find the company’s logo on the page that makes your device and press the Connect button. Lydia will then redirect you to the company’s website to log in to the account you use to manage the device. Once you are logged in, you may need to give Lydia permission to access certain types of health information from your device. Once you have given this permission, you will be redirected back to Lydia, where a confirmation screen will appear to explain what health information from the device will be uploaded to Lydia. Press the Confirm button and the device and health record will be connected.
NOTE: When logging in to the account to manage your device, Lydia does not store your username or password for this account. This log in is needed only one time to set up the connection between Lydia and the device.
